About the Project

Joe Gqabi DistrictMunicipality required the services of a specialist Professional Service Provider, with professionals that are ECSA registered to provide a turnkey solution to the Burgersdorp Waste Water Treatment Works Revamping.

Our Role

Tekoa Engineers was appointed to be responsible in Assessment, Design and Construction of the Electrical and Mechanical system for the Burgersdorp Waste Water Treatment Works (BWWTW).

The assignment included:

• Design of all Mechanical & Electrical Equipment needed for the refurbishments.
• Electrical Works; Replacing All Electrical Copper Cables, Servicing Tower Lights, Replacing Electrical Control Panels, Flow level-Sensors, Float switches, Domestic Wiring in All Buildings, nstrumentation Control System of the Plant and Service Mini Sub-Station Transformer.
• Mechanical Works; Refurbishing the Aerator Components, Replacing Valves, New Clarifier’s Scrapper Units, Motor Gearbox, Installation of New Pumps and desludging all Tanks and Doing Chlorine System.
• Process Optimization.
