Key Deliverables

  • 4150m of DN800 steel water main
  • All associated valves within a water pipeline including chamber structures.
  • All remedial works to paved road surfaces necessitated by the installation of the DN 800 water main.
  • All works relating to connecting the new water main to the existing primarily Asbestos Cement (AC) reticulation, including closure/removal of valves identified in the reticulation.
  • Refurbishing of the paving area running along the pipeline route (20 000m²).

About the Project

The project entailed design and construction monitoring of a DN800 Steel Water main along Anton Lembede Street from Alexander Street (CH 0 000) to Mahatma Gandhi Road (CH 2250) and along Mahatma Gandhi Road from Anton Lembede Street (CH 2 250) to Camperdown Road (CH 4 150). The purpose of the project is one of the critical services that are currently being upgraded to meet the near-future development demands which shall see the new Point precinct developing in amulti-billion dollar economy of eThekwini Metro Municipality, in line with the city’s integrated development plan.

  • Closeout
